It is our great pleasure to announce that our Senior Student Chloe Mytom has been awarded our 2020/2021 Ondine Scholarship. Congratulations to her!
The Ondine Senior Scholarship Award
Thanks to the generous support of Miss Barratt – former Principal of Ondine Academy the Ondine Senior Scholarship award of £1000 is awarded annually from the 1st September.
Students who are eligible for the award must have been nominated by their teachers and fulfil the criteria below
The fund comprises of two elements the first of which is a cash award of £500 to the nominated student. The £500 balance will be held, in trust, by Miss Harriet. This part of the award will be used to develop the student’s skills by funding additional courses, workshops, summer schools and paying for any necessary dance related items.
- Be 15 years of age or over
- Attend a minimum of 2 ballet lessons per week.
- Be punctual, loyal and committed.
- Be available to assist teachers in lessons for a minimum of 3 hours per week.
- Appearance, personality and organisation are also taken into consideration.
Failure to comply with the above criteria following the award of the scholarship may result in immediate retraction.
The final decision is made at the discretion of Miss Barratt.

Lillie Westcott 2016/17 – Now studying PPE at Warwick University, Advanced Lyrical Teacher & Social Secretary for the Classical & Modern Dance Society at Warwick Uni.
Megan Morris 2015/16 – Studied Dance at Roehampton University, did an internship at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in the production department, and is going on to study an MA in Stage Production and Management at Guilford School of Acting in 2021.
